Copart: The Case for Buying It Again?
CPRT (pass): Copart, previously sold in the low $40s on opportunity cost, is not being repurchased at $32. Mid-single-digit growth implies only an 8-10% five-year return, despite international expansion, lower land spending and Jay Adair’s return as CEO. The $1.9 billion ACV deal also reduces the likelihood of significant buybacks.
