MOON.V (update): Blue Moon Metals’ claim that Nussir is fully permitted is undermined by its subsidiary’s outstanding landfill application, filed 26 days after that declaration. More importantly, the Sami Parliament is demanding reassessment of the mine’s discharge permit after a Supreme Court ruling invalidated an almost identical fjord-dumping approval; applying the NEA’s Engebø standard would require 79-95% disposal cuts, volumes at which the mine does not work.
