Petrofund Energy Trust

As of June 30, 2006, Petrofund Energy Trust was acquired by Penn West Petroleum Ltd. Petrofund Energy Trust operates as an open-ended investment trust. The company through its subsidiary Petrofund Corp. acquires, manages, and disposes petroleum and natural gas property rights and interests. The company primarily produces light and medium oil, natural gas, and natural gas liquids from its properties in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan. As of December 31, 2005, Petrofund’s proved plus probable gross reserves were 88.5 MMbbls of oil, 389 bcf of natural gas, and 9.0 MMbbls of natural gas liquids, as well as owned 309,924 net acres of undeveloped land. Its another wholly owned subsidiary, Petrofund Ventures Trust involves in the purchase, operation, and divesting of petroleum, natural gas, and related hydrocarbons and related facility interests. The company was formerly known as NCE Petrofund Corp. and changed its name to Petrofund Energy Trust in November 2003. Petrofund Energy Trust was founded in 1988 and is headquartered in Calgary, Canada.
