It invests in commodity and fixed income markets of the United States. For its commodity portion, the fund invests through derivatives such as futures, options, warrants in physical gold. It invests in gold through a wholly-owned Cayman Islands subsidiary. For its fixed income portion, the fund invests in U.S. government securities including U.S. treasury obligations and securities issued or guaranteed by various agencies of the U.S. government, or by various instrumentalities that have been established or sponsored by the U.S. government. It seeks to benchmark the performance of its portfolio against the Bloomberg Gold Subindex Total Return and the Bloomberg Commodity Index Total Return.
