It invests in fixed income markets of the United States. The fund invests directly and through derivatives in high-yield municipal bonds that are rated BBB or below by S&P or Fitch or Baa or below by Moody’s. It invests in securities with average effective duration of less than 5 years. It seeks to benchmark the performance of its portfolio against the Bloomberg Municipal Bond Index, the Bloomberg Municipal High Yield Bond Index and the Former Bloomberg Custom Blend Benchmark comprising of 60% the Muni HY (0-18 years), 20% the Muni BBB (0-18 years) and 20% the IG ex BBB (0-18 years).
