StarPoint Energy Trust

As of January 5, 2006, StarPoint Energy Trust was acquired by Acclaim Energy Trust. StarPoint Energy Trust, an open-ended unincorporated investment trust, through its subsidiaries, engages in the acquisition, exploitation, and development of light oil and natural gas reserves primarily in southern Saskatchewan, central Alberta, and the plains area of northeastern British Columbia. The company’s principal properties are located in the Deep Basin area of Alberta. Its production activities are undertaken primarily at the Chinook formation at Red Rock, as well as at Elmworth and Wapiti. StarPoint holds an average working interest of 38% in 20,320 gross acres of land in the Deep Basin, which include 36 gross producing natural gas wells and 10 gross standing or suspended natural gas wells. StarPoint Energy Trust was founded in 1996 and is headquartered in Calgary, Canada.
