As of December 27, 2022, Archaea Energy Inc. was acquired by BP Products North America Inc. Archaea Energy Inc. operates as a renewable natural gas (RNG) and renewable electricity producer. It operates through two segments, RNG and Power. It owns and operates a diversified portfolio of landfill gas recovery and processing projects, including facilities that produce pipeline-quality RNG and LFGs to renewable electricity production facilities. The company was formerly known as Rice Acquisition Corp. and changed its name to Archaea Energy Inc. in September 2021. ArchaeaEnergy Inc. was incorporated in 2020 and is based in Houston, Texas.
