As of August 14, 2019, Spectrum ASA was acquired by TGS ASA. Spectrum ASA produces and sells multi-client seismic surveys and seismic data imaging for multi-client survey and proprietary customers in the oil and gas market. The company operates through two segments, Multi-Client and Seismic Imaging. Its multi-client library comprises approximately 3.35 million kilometers of 2D seismic data covering various oil and gas producing regions worldwide; and 200 thousand square kilometers of 3D seismic data from East Mediterranean, West Africa, North Sea, Australia, Brazil, and Gulf of Mexico. The company was founded in 1986 and is based in Oslo, Norway.
