It also provides Altium NEXUS; Altium Concord Pro, a solution for library management; and Octopart, search engine for electronic parts. Altium LLC was formerly known as Protel International Limited and changed its name to Altium LLC in August 2001. The company founded in 1985 and is based in La Jolla, California. As of August 1, 2024, Altium LLC operates as a subsidiary of Renesas Electronics Corporation.
