VDC Communications, Inc. provides domestic and international voice and facsimile services to residential and commercial customers throughout the world. The company's PeopleTalk retail division offers retail domestic and international long distance telephone services to residential and commercial customers in the United States. VDC's BusinessTalk Global Clearinghouse offers Internet communications service solutions for traditional telecommunications companies, Internet Service Providers and Internet Telephony Service Providers, enabling them to offer phone-to-phone voice and fax services and other value-added applications. Through its subsidiary, Sky King Communications, Inc., the company manages communications sites in 33 U.S. States and the Virgin Islands; and also provides communications tower facilities for cellular, paging, SMR, PCS, and wireless radio applications. In May 2001, VDC Communications appointed Ian Hughes to be the chief executive officer.
