The fund is co-managed by SSGA Funds Management, Inc. and Nuveen Asset Management, LLC. It invests in the fixed income markets of the United States. The fund invests in tax-exempt municipal securities issued by states, cities, counties, districts and their respective agencies with maturity ranging between 1 and 25 years. It invests in securities rated Aa3 or higher by Moody’s or AA- or higher by S&P or Fitch. The fund seeks to track the performance of the Bloomberg Municipal Managed Money 1-25 Years Index, by using representative sampling technique.
