Saipem s.a. provides engineering and construction services to oil and gas industry, and liquefied gases; maritime and river works; and chemicals, refining, and energy industries (CREI). Its oil and gas contracting segment provides engineering, installation, and start-up services to the oil-production industry; Liquefied gases segment constructs onshore and offshore liquefied gas facilities that include the building of turnkey liquefied gas import terminals; The CREI segment engages in valued-added studies, construction of turnkey industrial facilities, and contracting of industrial projects; and maintenance services segment provides maintenance and operations in upstream oil, chemicals and refining, industrial, and liquefied natural gas facilities. Saipem s.a. was formerly known as Bouygues Offshore S.A. and changed its name to Saipem s.a. in October 2002. The company was founded in 1957 and is based in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, France. As of July 8, 2002, Saipem s.a. operates as a subsidiary of Saipem SpA.
