Southern Pacific Rail Corporation

As of September 1996, Southern Pacific Rail Corporation merged with and into UP Holding Company, Inc., a subsidiary of Union Pacific Corporation. Previously, Southern Pacific Rail Corporation, through its subsidiaries, was engaged in the rail transportation business. Southern Pacific Rail operated in 15 states and transported freight over approximately 14,500 miles of main track linking west coast and gulf coast ports to midwest.
