FFLC Bancorp, Inc., (the "Holding Company") is the holding company for First Federal Savings Bank of Lake County (the "Bank") and the Bank’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Lake County Service Corporation ("LCSC") (together, the "Company"). The Bank’s principal business continues to be attracting retail deposits from the general public and investing those deposits, together with borrowings and principal repayments on loans and investments and funds generated from operations in loans. Those loans are primarily loans secured by first mortgages on one-to-four-family homes or commercial real estate. The Bank also makes commercial and consumer loans and, to a lesser extent, construction, land and multi-family mortgage loans. In addition, the Bank holds investments permitted by federal laws and regulations including securities issued by the U.S. Government and its agencies. The Bank’s revenues are derived principally from interest on its loan and securities portfolios. The Bank is a member of the Federal Home Loan Bank ("FHLB") system and its deposits are insured up to the applicable limits by the Savings Association Insurance Fund (" SAIF") of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (the "FDIC"). The Bank is subject to regulation by the Office of Thrift Supervision (the "OTS") as its chartering agency, and the FDIC as its deposit insurer.
