In December 1996, Transnational Re Corporation merged with and into PXRE Corporation. Previously, Transnational Re Corporation, through its subsidiary, Transnational Reinsurance Company, provided brokered property retrocessional reinsurance in the United States and international markets. The company was incorporated in 1996 and is based in Edison, New Jersey.
