North American Mortgage Company was organized in 1991 to acquire IMCO Realty Services (formerly the Wells Fargo Mortgage Company) from the investors who purchased the company from Wells Fargo in 1986. North American originates loans through a wholesale and retail network, as well as through telemarketing. North American also owns North American Mortgage Insurance Services, which markets third-party insurance to its customers.
