Infrasonics, Inc.

In June 1996, Infrasonics, Inc. merged with and into Nellcor Puritan Bennett Incorporated. Infrasonics, Inc., prior to the merger, was engaged in designing, manufacturing, and marketing respiratory care products and infant incubators. Infrasonics' respiratory care products included microprocessor controlled conventional and high frequency ventilators for adults and infants; breath monitoring and synchronization devices; a computerized pulmonary diagnostic unit; and ventilator accessory components. Its microprocessor-controlled incubators were used to regulate heat and moisture loss from sick and recovering newborns in an intensive care setting.
