Putnam Master Income Trust

As of January 28, 2005, Putnam Master Income Trust (fund) was acquired by Putnam Premier Income Trust. It operates as a closed-end management investment company. The fund invests in three sectors of the fixed-income securities market: a U.S. investment-grade sector, consisting of debt obligations of the U.S. government and investment-grade U.S. corporate bonds; a high-yield sector, consisting of high yielding, lower-rated U.S. corporate fixed income securities; and an international sector, consisting of obligations of foreign governments, their agencies and instrumentalities, and other fixed-income securities denominated in foreign currencies. Putnam Investment Management, LLC serves as the manager to the fund. The fund is based in Boston, Massachusetts.
