El Paso Electric Company was formerly known as El Paso Electric Railway Company and changed its name to El Paso Electric Company in 1925. The company was founded in 1901 and is based in El Paso, Texas. As of July 29, 2020, El Paso Electric Company was taken private. El Paso Electric Company operates as a subsidiary of Sun Jupiter Holdings LLC.
