As of October 3, 2010 First Trust Strategic High Income Fund has been acquired by First Trust Strategic High Income Fund II. It is a closed-ended fixed income mutual fund launched by First Trust Portfolios L.P. The fund is co-managed by First Trust Advisors L.P. and Brookfield Investment Management Inc. It invests in the fixed income markets of the United States. The fund invests in securities of companies that operate across diversified sectors. It invests in fixed income securities such as U.S. government agency, mortgage-backed securities, corporate bonds, manufactured housing loans, residential mortgage-backed securities, commercial mortgage-backed securities, and collateralized debt obligations.
