The fund is managed by BlackRock Fund Advisors and co-managed by BlackRock International Limited. It invests in fixed income markets of global region. The fund primarily invests in U.S. dollar-denominated, investment grade, fixed-rate and floating-rate securities such as corporate and government bonds, agency securities, instruments of non-U.S. issuers, privately issued securities, asset-backed and mortgage-backed securities, structured securities, municipal bonds, money market instruments and investment companies that are rated BBB- or higher by S&P and/or by Fitch or Baa3 or higher by Moody’s. It invests in securities with maturities of less than three years. It employs fundamental analysis with bottom-up and top-down security picking approach to create its portfolio.
