Silver Bay Realty Trust Corp. is an internally-managed Maryland corporation that focuses on the acquisition, renovation, leasing, and management of single-family properties in select markets in the United States. Our objective is to generate attractive risk-adjusted returns for our stockholders over the long term through dividends and capital appreciation. We generate virtually all of our revenue by leasing our portfolio of single-family properties. As of March 31, 2017, we owned 9,013 single-family properties for rental purposes in Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina and Texas, excluding properties reflected as assets held for sale on our condensed consolidated balance sheets.
