US Government Mortgage Impact Fund

US Government Mortgage Impact Fund is an open ended fixed income mutual fund launched by BlackRock (Luxembourg) S.A. It is managed by BlackRock Financial Management, Inc. The fund invests in fixed income markets of the United States. It invests fixed income transferable securities denominated in U.S. dollar, issued or guaranteed by the United States Government, its agencies or instrumentalities, including Government National Mortgage Association mortgage-backed certificates and other U.S. Government securities representing ownership interests in mortgage pools, such as mortgage-backed securities issued by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. The fund seeks to invest in securities with an average duration of two to three years. It benchmarks the performance of its portfolio against Citigroup Mortgage. The fund was formerly known as Merrill Lynch International Investment Funds - U.S. Government Mortgage Fund. BlackRock Global Funds - US Government Mortgage Fund was formed on August 2, 1985 and is domiciled in the Luxembourg. As of September 16, 2021 US Government Mortgage Fund has changed its name to US Government Mortgage Impact Fund.
