The fund is co-managed by SSGA Funds Management, Inc. and Nuveen Asset Management, LLC. It invests in the fixed income markets of the United States. The fund invests in tax-exempt municipal securities issued by U.S. states, the District of Columbia, U.S. territories and local governments or agencies. It invests in U.S. dollar denominated, fixed rate, high yield bonds that are rated as higher than Ba1 by Moody's or BB+ by S&P or Fitch Inc. with a maturity of at least one year. It seeks to track the performance of the ICE US Select High Yield Crossover Municipal Index, by using representative sampling technique.
