The fund invests in the fixed income markets of the United States. It primarily invests in the U.S. dollar denominated treasury securities issued by the government with 2-year, 3-year, 5-year, 7-year, 10-year, and 30-year maturities. The fund seeks to track the performance of the BofA Merrill Lynch Liquid US Treasury Index, by using representative sampling approach. It was formerly known as PIMCO ETF Trust - PIMCO Broad U.S. Treasury Index Fund.
